Gun Owners of Arkansas Endorses Mischa Martin for Senate
Early Support from Prominent Gun Rights Group Signifies Martin’s Strong Commitment to Protecting the Second Amendment
Sherwood, AR—Today, Gun Owners of Arkansas, the state’s premier gun rights organization, endorsed Mischa Martin’s campaign for Senate District 13. This step is unusual so early in the election cycle and demonstrates the group’s faith that Martin will protect the constitutional right to bear arms.
“We are endorsing Mischa Martin in her bid for Arkansas Senate because of her uncompromising stance on preserving Arkansans’ Second Amendment rights,” said Gun Owners of Arkansas President Gary Epperson. “Gun Owners of Arkansas’ mission is to preserve, advance, protect, and defend the inalienable rights of this state’s gun owners, as well as educate them on the benefits of and state laws that govern firearms ownership. Mischa Martin strongly supports these objectives, and we know she will fight for them if she’s elected.”
Martin thanked Gun Owners of Arkansas for the vote of confidence and said that she would work to protect and promote gun rights as a legislator.
“I want to thank Gun Owners of Arkansas for supporting my campaign. One of my main issues is protecting Arkansas’ traditional and conservative way of life, which includes having the right to carry a firearm. As such, I will make protecting the Second Amendment one of my top priorities if voters choose me as their next state senator.”
Gun Owners of Arkansas’ endorsement is merely the latest strong showing of support for Martin. Two weeks ago, more than 100 community leaders endorsed her candidacy, demonstrating that she is cultivating a robust grassroots network as the campaign moves closer to the March 3rd primary.
